National ABODA National ABODA is the umbrella body of the ABODA state branches. Although the state branches operate as autonomous entities, they share similar objectives as the National body. National ABODA provides two newsletters ("Maestro") per year, produces Outstanding Ensemble Member Certificates which ABODA members around the country can use for their ensembles (up to 5 per ensemble), and sets up consortia to commission new repertoire. ABODA National periodically awards the Citation of Excellence, the highest award of the Association. National ABODA is governed by a Board of Directors, which consist of the presidents of affiliated state branches, plus a National Executive consisting of a National President, a National President-Elect, a Secretary, a Treasurer and an Immediate Past President. The Executive serve a two year term. The National President and National President-Elect are normally nominated from the state Presidents and are ratified at each ANBOC conference. The Board of Directors normally meet at least two times per year, although one of those meetings is often a phone conferencing meeting. Current members of National ABODA are:
