ABODA 2006 State Honours BandABODA Victoria is pleased to announce that applications for the 2006 Victorian State Honours Band, proudly sponsored by Billy Hyde Music, are now being accepted. We would like to offer your students the opportunity to be part of this fantastic ensemble which is to be conducted by internationally respected band clinician RUSSELL HAMMOND. Russell Hammond has been synonymous with the band movement in Australia since the 70's. Over many years he has conducted "The Australian Winds", "Melbourne Youth Symphonic Band" and many tertiary wind ensembles. He is in demand as a guest conductor around the world. He is also the founder of ABODA 21years ago. The ABODA 2006 Victorian State Honours Band is open to all musicians up to the age of 21 years with a minimum standard of AMEB grade 5 or equivalent. The audition cost is $5.00 and (if successful) membership of the band is an all inclusive cost of $50, which includes refreshments at rehearsals, tutoring and one complimentary ticket to the final concert. Rehearsals will be held at Parade College,1436 Plenty Road Bundoora (Melways Map 10 A10) The band will feature in the final concert celebrating ABODA's 21st birthday in Australia at Melba Hall, Melbourne University, Royal Parade, Parkville 3052 Melway 75A G3 on Sunday June 4th 2pm.
