Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association National Think Tank You are enthusiastically invited to a Think Tank to discuss ideas to find direction to achieve a successful National Conference in Melbourne in 2010. ABODA is an association to support you as a conductor and director of bands and orchestras in schools and the community. Your needs, your ideas, your inspiration and your energy is needed to help shape a major event. What do you want? This is a special opportunity and you are welcome to be part of it. Less experienced and very experienced teachers, conductors, music industry, administrators, mangers all are most welcome. Date:
Monday 28th January (public holiday) 1pm to 5pm. Possible
topics include: The aim is to lock in the concept in the next month or so, followed by appointment of interested and dynamic people to lead and manage conference projects. The action should really start in Term 2 and trickle through to 2009. Then the crescendo to the conference in 2010. Your energy and contribution to band and orchestra professional development is needed to make ABODA relevant. Please come and encourage your colleagues to come too and please spread the word.
