The committee of ABODA Victoria is pleased to announce that nominations for nominations for awards recognizing Outstanding Personal Achievement in the field of ensemble directing are now open. Recipients will serve as role models for up and coming directors.
Recipients of this award last year included Roy Hamilton, Claudia Barker and Brian Hogg.
The award is based on the following criteria: * The nominee should have been a member of the Victorian Branch for at least two full years before nomination. * No more than three Victorian Branch Excellence Awards will be made in any one calendar year. * Candidates for the award will be identified by nomination. * Each nomination must have a proposer and seconder from amongst current financial members of ABODA Victoria. Each nomination must also state in writing the reasons for the nomination in that particular year. * All nominations deemed to have satisfied these criteria will be scrutinised by the Victorian Branch Committee. Subject to suitability, the Committee will vote on the nominations to determine no more than three recipients. * All nominees will be contacted in writing following the Committee vote to confirm the status of their nomination. * Nominations will be called for annually in the Spring issue of Interlude. Recipients will be announced in the Summer issue. * The award will take the form of a framed certificate, signed by the State President.
This is the opportunity to nominate any of your colleagues who deserve special recognition.
Nominations should be directed to the Secretary, David Billimoria on the form below, or via email to billimor@optusnet.com.au.
Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 28 November.
